Carter

At 16 weeks Carter is thriving. She’s 5kg now and loves being outside chasing leaves (and sometimes cats still). She’s definitely got the upper hand – whereas Bruce will come bouncing over as soon as anyone comes in the room Carter will wait for someone to come over to pick her up.
Final trip to the vets this week for weigh in and blood tests. She’s gone from 2kg to 3.4kg in 2 weeks! She’s fully accustomed to life in a busy house now and seems to have really benefitted from time with the big dogs to teach her what to do. She’s learned not to chase cats, because they’ll chase back and hiss and scratch.
She’s a crazy puppy most of the time but she also loves to chill and sleep under desks at our feet when we’re working.
Back to the vets this week for another weigh and check in. Her personality is really developing now. We think she’s been hanging out with the cats too much as she’s started to think she’s in charge of the whole house and can do whatever she wants. She’s getting much darker brown now and has a lovely silky coat.
Very much enjoying time with the big dogs who are teaching them some manners. Second vaccinations now done so Carter will be outside in a week or so.

Carter and Bruce at 8 weeks. She’s becoming less shy and much more outgoing now the other puppies have left. We did have a buyer for her but we’ve decided to keep her (and Bruce) until they’re a little bigger.
Carter at 5 weeks. She’s definitely one of the quieter and gentler ones. She’ll happily sit and be stroked without fussing. Big comparison with Bruce or Wanda who are always trying to find something else to do.
No longer the baby of the group, Carter weighs 600g at the end of week 2.
